Rubber stamp projects are great for crafters and artists of all skill levels. These projects are also fun for families to do together. If you've got youngsters in your home they will love helping you complete a stamp project. Scrapbooking is one way to use your rubber stamps. A scrapbook is a showcase for your favorite photos and mementos. Each page should be a work of art. There are all kinds of scrapbook pages you can use to make your work come to life. Rubber stamps can be used to add a personal touch to your scrapbook pages.
Another great project is to make your own stationery using rubber stamps. You can design this stationery any way you want. For example, you can make your own Christmas cards using thick white card stock and holiday theme rubber stamps. Or, you can make a friend or family member a homemade birthday card. To complete any project you will first need the right stamps and some ink. You can buy rubber stamps online or in most craft stores. Stamp ink comes in pad and pen form and is available in every shade you can imagine. Using ink pens lets you make multicolored stampings.
Many people enjoy coloring in their stamped images using colored pencils, pens, markers, paint or chalk. This is a great way to make any creative stamp project even more beautiful and fun to do. Artistic stamps are perfect for anyone who wants to experiment with color. Just make sure you have the right surface for the medium you want to use. For example, if you want to use watercolor paints or watercolor pencils make sure to buy heavyweight watercolor paper so the color does not bleed through.
Another one of the easiest rubber stamp projects is customizing a candle. For this, you will need an unmounted rubber stamp, ink that can be heat set, a blowdryer and a large white candle that is wide enough to hold the design. After applying the stamp use the blowdryer to heat set the image. You can then use paint or markers to color in the stamped design. As you can imagine, rubber stamps can be used for many different projects. With a little creativity you can come up with lots of fun ways to use your stamps.
